**See Italy Oasis Style**

Many have asked over the years while on our trips to Israel, “What about other Bible lands?” We heard your requests and are happy to announce that Oasis has added it’s tour of Italy back to our selection of Bible Lands tours.

At Acts 19:21, the Apostle Paul made clear his desire to visit the brothers on this Mediterranean peninsula. While in Asia Minor he “resolved in his spirit” that after visiting Greece & Macedonia he “must also see Rome.” We feel the same way. We must also see Rome and we can’t wait to do it with you! With the help of experienced local and Oasis guides, we will thoroughly examine Italy’s history, architecture and art through the eyes of scripture. This trip has been several years in the planning and research and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Why tour Italy?

Picture yourself at the very foundation of the civilization all 1st Century Christians lived in.

What was it like for Paul to land on the shores of this land?
What was his journey like as traveled to Rome along the Appian Way?
Walk the streets used by the Apostle Paul, the physician Luke, as well as Aquila, Priscilla and other 1st Century brothers and sisters.
What was the “marketplace” like where the preached?
What evidence can we find of the very beginning of the great apostasy during the time when at least some of the Apostles were still alive?
What role did Christendom play in common imagery used to depict biblical scenes?
Why and when did that begin to change?
What was life like around the Bay of Naples for our brothers prior to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 C.E.?

You will not only understand these and dozens of other scenarios, you will experience them personally. Those who have done these trips in the past agree, your undertanding of, and appreication for, the Bible will never be same. As one of our guests said “The stories in Bible used to feel like a series of pictures in my mind but now I read them and see an action movie!”

Where Do We Go?

A more extensive itinerary will be provided for those who actually book reservations for a trip, but below here is a small sampling the places we’ll visit:

Naples Bay: Pozzuoli (Puteoli), Pompeii, Herculaneum
Rome: The Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, a walk on Appian Way, and dozens of other sites.
Florence: The Uffizi Gallery, Academia Gallery, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with it’s famous duomo, and many other sites.
Siena: Experience this gem of a Tuscan city that contains a special surprise

The Basic Details

Our tours are package tours scheduled for specific sets of days each year. As such, each trip has it’s own pricing. Details for those are available in the application link at the bottom of this page. We do not offer shorter versions of our tours, nor do we have hop-on/hop-off style tours within Italy. We partner exclusively with one of the premier travel agencies in the world, Gate 1 Travel, for all ravel arrangements and logistics for our trips. Gate 1 has worked with us to design our very own, unique, theocratic itinerary. Partnering with Gate 1 ensures our tours are the best they can be by coupling their infrastructure with our own Oasis guides, itinerary, and commentary. All this while having the backing and assurance a reputable international tour operator with 45 years in the business. A $1,500/person deposit is due to Gate 1 Travel within 5 days of receiving your reservation. This deposit is non-refundable. Full balance is due no later than 120 days prior to departure. The payment schedule and prior to departure penalty schedule is as follows:

150 days prior to departure: 50% of total balance due and becomes non-refundable
120 prior to departure: 100% of total balance due and becomes non-refundable

Seats on the tour are only secured once your deposit is made. If waitlisted for the trip, travelers are selected on a first-come, first-served arrangement, based on the date and time your application was completed.
