Come to the Copper Kingdom

Daniel Ch. 2 likens the Grecian Empire started by Alexander the Great to “copper.” That ancient Hellenistic culture influenced all of Western civilization that followed it for over 2,300 years. Today, Greece still carries that same proud culture and nestled among the it’s bustling modern life are incredible archaeological remnants of the past that will add color and context to the way you read the Bible.

We invite you to Come to the Copper Kingdom with us and experience this firsthand! With the help of experienced local and Oasis guides, you’ll be submerged in the rich history, architecture and art of ancient Greece as we look through the lens of the Bible. ‘

Why Tour Greece?

Picture yourself surrounded by the culture that is the basis for all Western civilizations.

  • What new culture and influences did Paul and the brothers experience once they stepped “over into Macedonia” to help the people there?
  • What was his journey as he walked from the port city of Neapolis to the Philippi along the Egnatian Way?
  • What would it have been like to preach in Thessaloniki’s Agora (or, Roman Forum)?
  • What is the journey like from Thessalonica to Beorea and how did the distance between the two prove significant?
  • What was it it like for Paul to preach to Athenian philosophers in the Areopagus?
  • What challenges were faced by Paul, Aquila and Priscilla in ancient Corinth?
  • What environment in ancient Ephesus made it such a volatile, and potentially intimidating place to preach?
  • What perspective can we gain from visiting the island where the Apostle John received the Revelation while in exile?

You will not only understand these and dozens of other scenarios, you will experience them personally.  Those who have done these trips in the past agree, your understanding of, and appreciation for, the Bible will never be same.  As one of our guests said “I thought I knew, but I was only imagining. Now, I know!”

Where Do We Go?
